    Default Canada Day bass

First bass trip of the year. I thought with the drought we are experiencing that things would be a little tough...not so!
Ten to fifteen years ago I could come to this river and catch 20 fish without moving more than 1 or 2 yards. Things changed over the years and you would have to move around to find any numbers. This day (Friday) yielded between 90 to 100.

I must admit that I am a bit jealous of you for having access to such good smallmouth fishing. We have great LM fishing here in the south, but I sure miss the tail walking excitement of catching smallies in a river when I live in the north country. Very fun fish to catch.

Just to clarify .... I had to drive to three different areas on the river to catch as many fish as I did this day. They didn't all come from the one spot.

Very nice. I wouldn't mind driving 3-4 times a day to find fish like that.
