    Default Jurgens' Antero Special SBS

Quigley meets Featherduster, with a bit more positive buoyancy. Tied here as a Callibaetis; change colors to suit your needs.

    thread - MFC 8/0 sand
    rib - x-small wire copper
    shuck - marabou fibers tan
body - ostrich herl dark tan
    thorax/wing - 2mm foam grey
    hackle - barred cream

    Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in rib, wrap to bend

measure (gap width past bend) some marabou fibers; tie in/trim butts

tie in ostrich, twist with thread, wrap to 3/4 mark

counterwrap rib, helicopter end, tie down

tie in foam strip top and bottom, wrap back to 2/3 mark

    Thanx for the recognition.
Give it a try tied with gray colors.

Will definitely have to try this one for Callibaeitis. Would be a bit too bulky, for me, to tie in BWO sizes. Would make a nice drake pattern though.

    Larry,

Thanks for providing the pattern; a pretty cool fly. Here's a try at a baetis

    hook - Dai Riki 125 #18
    thread - MFC 8/0 sand
    rib - xx-small wire gold
    shuck/body - marabou fibers olive/brown
    thorax/wing - 1mm foam grey
    hackle - dun

Subbed finer marabou (twisted) fibers for the ostrich abdomen and 1mm foam for the head/wing. A little bit of hot orange or pink for an indicator may be in order; this would be a b.tch to see in typical baetis weather.
