    Nice fish. They must still be pre-spawn up in your neck of the woods. Nice fat fish, excellent condition and no torn or worn caudal fin. Very pretty bass.

    That's quite a nice rod and reel setup..........looks like a fibreglass fly rod, but what fly reel is that?

    The rod is a Fenwick "floater bum" three piece, 6'10", 7 wt fiberglass fly rod ( made for the Asian market. The reel is a new semi automatic fly reel made by Peux and is called Fulgor.

    Long winter but, finally, first bass of the season. Caught on a file similar to a beaded hare's ear nymph. The rod and reel are what I call "The Noodle", it's from Walmart, cost $30, has caught a lot of fish and stays in the back of my truck year round... (Don't worry, I do have several others... just don't like leaving them in the truck so The Noddle comes to hand more frequently.)
