    I use the same pattern, but in a straight shank 3x long streamer hook. That's the first mohair pattern I learned. Still use it.

    Hands down my most productive pattern. I use rabbit fur for the tail as it is much more durable and I find that black is the most productive color for the waters I fish. I sometimes add a beadhead usually red glass for variation. This is a pattern that everyone should have in their flybox.
