Housatonic River?

I'm going to be down in Brookfield, CT at the end of May for a friends wedding, noticed onthe map that the Housatonic is pretty close. Wedding isn't till late in the day so it may leave me with time to hit the water, if I stay somewhat close to town. Have never been down in that area before, or even fished outside of Maine. But anyone have any recommendations for access points or places to check out that would be near Brookfield? Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

do a search on Housatonic meadows , its about 35 or so miles north of Danbury on route 7/25. should be a couple of fly shops in the kent falls/ cornwall bridge area that can help you out . cant be much more help than that, I moved out of Connecticut in 1972
