Just like the title says how do you make indicator tip furled leaders? I would like to make the indicator portion even and not blended. I can make indicator butts that are even. So what do you say other than "why would you want an indicator tip?"

I think I know how it could be done but it would mean adding more strands to the tippet end and I don't think I'd like the extra bulk. I could also dampen the action of the leader it's self.
I have a question. If the LEADER DOES NOT have an indicator tip and you do not or cannot employ a solution to a built-in indicator, would coloring an inch or two with a red waterproof sharpie cause any degradation of the leader material or render it defective?
That is a good idea gerri. One of those times when you look so deep into a problem that you miss the obvious!! I mark my fly lines to indicate line wt. and the Sharpie holds up very well.
Just add an extra peg in the section you want so it's directly across and make the indicator. It works great.
