    Default Spruce Bunny SBS



    hook - Mustad 9671 #2
    thread - Flat-wax white
    tail - Krystal Flash peacock/Flashabou holo green
    body - midge tube red
    thorax - Ice Dub peacock
    wing - zonker strip
    collar - deer hair spun/clipped
    head - cone silver


    Part 1

    mash barb, slide cone on; jam against eye with a couple wraps of non-tox




    start thread, tie in KF




    tie in Flashabou, fold, wrap everything back to bend; trim






    tie in tubing, wrap forward; tie off/trim






    dub thorax

    Part 2

    tie in zonker strip (tip should extend to bend)




    clean, stack, measure (tips past thorax) a clump of deer hair; spin, half hitch x 2, SHHAN






    trim hair butts around cone

    You don't tie down the zonker strip with a rib or anything?

    Steven,

    On this one I want the wing to go with the flow; cut short, as it is, it shouldn't foul the hook. Rib it and it's a Matuka.
