I purchased a spool of the 30 denier GSP thread and am very impressed. Once you get used to the slipperiness of GSP, it is as thin and strong as advertised and virtually disappears on the hook. Extremely easy to split to insert dubbing, CDC, deer hair, etc., for a split thread technique, but is thin enough that I think you could form a dubbing loop with it, if you prefer, and never notice any difference in bulk. Needs to be trimmed with a razor blade.
Anybody have other thoughts on it, good or bad?

I use GSP when I forget I suck and try to tie bass flies.

Absolutely. No problem at all.

While the strength/diameter ratio is fine, it is VERY expensive (e.g. 4X price of Danville), slips on the hook too much, hard to cut, harder to handle than normal thread, cuts materials if one is not care with tension, and oh yeah, it is really expensive (worth saying twice). These kind of threads have been around for several years now. The last time, the fad was driven by the European Czech nymph crowd touting its virtues (e.g. Moser's Powersilk). Useful for certain tasks, but a very poor replacement for every day sort of tying thread, in my mind. YMMV.
