Another very basic salmon pattern that could easily serve for other fish (see the Hot Bead Assassin) like shad and panfish (on a smaller hook). Change colors to suit your needs.

    hook - Mustad 9671 #6
thread - UTC 140 hot pink
    tail - marabou fuschia
    body - mylar braid pearl
    wing - Flashabou holographic
head - sparkle chenille hot pink
    eyes - hourglass large silver

    Part 1

mash barb, start thread; tie in eye (about 2 hook eye widths back, to leave room to tie off the head), brush wraps with Super Glue, wrap back to bend

    measure marabou (shank); tie in/trim

tie in braid, wrap to eyes; tie off/trim

tie in Flashabou; fold back/tie down

    Part 2

strip end of chenille; tie in behind eyes

    one wrap for the collar

up through the eyes; once around the far eye, then cross back over, repeat on the near side, tie off, trim, whip, SHHAN, trim wing even with tail

    Regards,
    Scott

    Very nice again, Scott.
Tied with a chartreuse body and either a black tail and head or a white tail and head, they would make great crappie flies.

Tied with a chartreuse body and red head and tail but maybe little or no silver flash and it should make a good fly for winter 'gill fishing. Actually, in order to be able to fish it slow and deep, the eyes should be bead chain to keep it off the bottom.
