Default Parmacheene Belle, 5 different styles

This was my tying project over the holidays, I'm just getting to photographing them. These 5 patterns are all for the Parmacheene Belle. This has always been one of my favorite patterns, mostly because of the looks although the wet fly has caught a number of brook trout for me. I can post the recipes if somebody wants them but I wanted to keep this post brief.

I have to agree with what Byron said.

The Parmacheene Belle was one of the first flies I was introduced to when I first started to tie flies in the 1960's.

    Hik Alberto,
I would like to see the recipes when you get a chance. Nice variations on a theme.

    Alberto,

Those are beauties. Wouldn't even think about getting them wet. I'd shadow box them right away.

Really beautiful. Joe Fox of Dette Flies ties a catskill style version (if you're interested in adding one more).

Melk - I updated the first post with the recipes. The wet fly in the photo was tied with medium flat tinsel, I did not like the proportions and have since switched it to small flat tinsel. This lets the yellow body come through more.

Steven - I found a photo of the Charlie Fox fly, beautiful! I can only imagine how hard it is to properly mount the wings when you have multiple slips. I might just have to play around with this.

Thanks again to all of you for the encouragement and kind words,

    Alberto
