Default jsmartt an answer to your question

I wanted to answer your question without derailing/hijacking betty's post so here goes.

Nope I am not a biologist.

When i moved out on my own I was given a stuffed rattlesnake as a "pet" since my apartment didnt allow pets. It became quite the conversation piece when people visited so I wanted to give it a "cool" name. in searching for a name I can across the latin name for rattlesnake - Crotalus Adamanteus. That sounded cool, so he was named Crotalus.

When i got into online gaming I needed a cool screen name. The snake sat on a shelf near my computer and things just sorta fell into place.

I still have the sname (13+ years later) but now he overlooks my tying table

Sorry that was long winded but i think it is cool when people recognize the screen name for its latin origin.

Now I am hijacking your post. Sorry--I did a double take on your picture you posted! My thread spool holder hangs on the wall to my left plus I have that same wooden box for fly tying material on my fly tying table!!
It is really a great box for fly tying material!

I noticed in your picture that you have the book "Trout Flies." I received that same book for Christmas last year; 'tis a good book.

JC, actually that thread holder is from WalMart, but probably pretty much the same thing.

And for everyone who thinks it is neat, well fooled ya!! I cleaned the table when i got the new wooden box, took the picture and about 10 minutes later had it completely cluttered again. Right now i have about a 6" swatch of clear space around my vise

If you don't mind my asking, Where did you get the box. It appears to be exactly what I need.
    Thanks,
