A buddy of mine has found a binder of flys that look to be from the 30's or 40's. They are marked Korte of Pittsburgh. Just wondering if anyone may be able to shed some light on them. Google does not have anything. Thanks!

Could you post a picture of them?
Will have to see if I can do that. The pic I have is not very good, but will see if I can get another.
I do not know anything about these flies, but I would also be interested to learn more about them.
If you strike out here, you might consider posing the question on the PA Fly Fish Forum, where there might be more local knowledge.
My wife was a fourth generation Pittsburgh, PA native. Many years ago, my father-in -law gave me a rather substantial quantity of flies, fly boxes, rods, reels, etc. that had belonged to his father, that would have been from that era. I do not recall any of these flies being labeled Korte of Pittsburgh. About the closest thing that I have is a framed print of Wm. Mills and Sons flies, and I believe they were from New York.
Tried the Pa Fly forum, but they are closed to new members. If you are a member, maybe you could be so kind as to post the question as I cannot.
I have posted your question there. I will let you know if I learn anything.
Thank you very much!
