Prayers for her & all loved ones.
Remember that when God takes a strength, another strength or gift is added. That beautiful little lady knows only what she lives. She is losing nothing she had for years, so she is acting as if there has been no loss. She will amaze us all now & as time passes with her love and accomplishments.

My thoughts are with you and your family. I had two cousins who were visually impaired. One of them was a successful businessman in Eugene, OR. The other was a distinguished mathematics professor, ending his career at Kansas State University. They grew up in the Great Depression and in my opinion became very fine adults. Your granddaughter has advances in medicine and technology these men never had. I am sure you will be amazed at what she can do and will do with her life. Just love her as I know you will.

Eye sight is so precious. Not all that long ago I had cataract surgery (both eyes) and what a joy to be able to see so clearly once again. There have been so many medical miracles with eye sight in the past few years that perhaps, Betty, there is great hope for your granddaughter!
