    Default Tim's Carburetor SBS

Apparently Tim King has a car thing; this one's more of a stonefly/hopper imitation, tied here as a golden stone. I've seen it tied with a foam strip over the back, as well (maybe that's his Fuel Injector?).

    hook - Dai Riki 280 #10
    thread - Danville 6/0 black
    abdomen - dubbing golden yellow
    wing - bleached elk
    thorax - peacock herl
    hackle - brown
head - foam strip 1mm yellow underneath 2mm black
legs - tan/black barred rubber medium

    Part 1

Mash down barb; start thread back about gap width back from the eye and wrap back to bend

    dub thread, dub abdomen

clean, stack, measure (tips to the hook bend) a clump of elk; tie in, trim butts

    tie in foam strips

    tie in peacock herl
