    Question This month's dumb question

All right guys and gals, here is the dumb question of the month from Gordon.

    What is a "Trude"?

Seen references to trudes in several different places, most recent being today's SBS by Scott. But don't recall ever seeing a definition or explanation of what it is.

Trude style flies have the wing tied down over the back. (Not palmered.) The Royal Trude is the classic. Several have fur wings for example calf tail or buck tail. I'm certain others can give better descriptions of the trude style.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    Lime

    Rio Grande King

Sanchez Foam-Back Convertible (combination Wulff/Trude wing); my favorite attractor

    What does "pampered" mean?

Maybe "not pampered" means you really lean on the bobbin when tying the wing in

Thanks Guys. Now I know not to fix dinner for the wing.

Spell check for palmer. Just don't be mean to it and it will catch fish...
