    Default Landed my first

I have been flyfishing for a relatively short time. I've had several fish take my flies but until today I havent set the hook and landed a fish. I found a sweet little hole where it didnt matter what fly I used. After seven solid strikes I figured out what I was doing wrong, set the hook and closed the deal and landed one finally. A seven inch rainbow not too shabby.

Not too shabby indeed. Any chance you still have the fly? Save it if ya can. Be nice in the future.

Good job! Remember its not the size of the fish, bt the size of the memory..

    GOOD JOB.
The first one is the hardest.
The next one will be easier.

Remember that feeling, heelerdog. It's a good one.
    Nice going.

P.S. If you still have it, retire that fly.

Thanks to all. JC yes I still have the fly but it's beat up a little. EPuffer the next one was landed three casts later with the same fly. fcch too much slack on the retrieve. When I'd go to set the hook I'd just pick up slack. Bob thats a good idea since it's a little beat up as I said and I have a couple pretty new ones left.
