Very nice. What hook are you using? Even at that size it looks to have a decent gap; anything smaller than a #20 and I usually turn to a Dai Riki 125 emerger hook.

Hi Scott,

Those are Hyabusa All Purpose Light Barbless. I was fortunate to pick up 7K of them in sizes 16 to 24. I have no idea where a fresh supply is going to come from when they are gone. There are sources of Hyabusa hooks here but I've never seen that model offered anywhere before or since. The sizing of those hooks is a little strange, the 16s are a little on the large size, the 24 on the small side. The increments though are uniform across the range. It it where to continue down in size, in the same uniform way, the 32 would be as small as the famous Mustad of that size. It is more likely that I'm so used to seeing other hooks sized all over the place that these look odd.

We don't see many Dia Riki hooks here (UK). It makes it difficult to say anything about them. The few I have used have been very good. That is, though, only a couple of packs.
