Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
Thanks guys. If you have not had the pleasure to cast one of Mark Steffen's rods....I would HIGHLY recommend it. There are a lot of modern fiberglass options to pick from these days; but I truly believe that Mark's tapers set the bar. His 3/4wt. and 5/6wt. are already considered classics. And several of his 2/3wt. configurations (the 6'0" and the 7'6") and his newer 6/7wt. are also extremely popular.
What a gorgeous rod! It's been a while since I made my last rod, and yours makes me want to start again right away. I've always heard that Mark's blanks were the pinnacle of fiberglass blanks for rod makers and now I may have to break down and buy one for my winter project. Thanks for sharing.

I totally agree with you about Steffen's tapers.
I own a custom built 7'9" 3/4 3 piece rod and I can't imagine a better glass rod in that configuration.
When you can arrange your affairs to go fishing, forget all the signs, homilies, advice and folklore. JUST GO.
It is a beautiful rod.The pictures speak loudly.
Gorgeous build!
