Can someone point me in the right direction of how to change a Cortland Fairplay reel from RH TO LH? The website is under "construction" and of no help right now. Maybe a manual ??

I owned one of those years ago. Seems like it was something real simple, reverse the line and flip the drag arm from one side to the other. I gave mine to my son and his ex wife sold it in a yard sale. Cortland Line is a sponsor but you said their web page is down. A few of other sponsors on here probably sells Cortland products. I know Hook and Hackle does. Maybe you can shoot them an email or give them a call. hookhack.com or go to sponsor page from the FAOL home page, click on Hook $ Hackle and it'll give you the 800 number and a direct email link to Ron. Hope this helps. Jim
I'm either going to, coming from or thinking about fishing. Jim
How about using the phone and actually speaking with an individual? The company's number is right there on their 'sponsor page.
thanks for the info, I got the reel for a "practice reel", but there was no manual or paperwork in the package.
Remove the spool. There is a gear on the spool shaft. Slide it off the shaft. Turn it over. Replace it. Now the drag is set to grip in the other direction. Good Luck.
It Just Doesn't Matter....
