Default My new fly tying bench

The wife and I stumbled on this little desk at a bargain price in a junk shop over the holidays, "Aha," thinks I; "That would make a fine fly tying bench!" I think it worked out pretty well...

I like the WWI planes, I am doing a stone fly nymph series using some of them as the basis for the colors. OH yeah nice desk too....

Yep, good looking desk and if you tie like I do it won't be long before you will hardly remember it had a wood top there will be so much 'stuff' on it.

With such a neat and organized setup you must have a closet full of boxes filled with your $5000 investment in material. If you don't yet have such a closet you better start because the prices are never going to go down.
    Joking aside, it looks great.

Very cool! I tie on a small desk as well. The space isn't a problem and it's challenge that it must be neat to have room to tie--is a good thing. You will enjoy many wonderful hours. (Is that an official Roy Rogers cup on the shelf? PERFECT!)

    Hi Prairieschooner,

Nicely done! It looks great to me. It is neat and appears to be well organized. I wish mine looked half that well organized.

    Regards,
