    Default Request of Hans Weilenmann

    Hans,

I suspect that one of the most common mayfly hatches we fish each year is the PMD hatch. Any chance you might provide a video of your favorite PMD pattern tied in a common fishing size - say a #18?
I would really enjoy seeing that.
    Thanks,
    Byron

PS When you wrap hackle from the eye back to the beginning of the thorax, do you reverse the hackle? Do you have the shiny side facing the front?

    *chuckle*

That would either be a Z-Dun (video already available) or a small size CDC&Elk (video already available)

On wets, yes. On dries, no.

    Thanks Hans.
This is my attempt at an 18 pattern. Not the best. I did a V notch instead of flat bottom so it rides a bit higher. My zelon is a bit too crinkly for this though.
