Finally; My first successful flyfishing trip!
I've been following these forums for awhile but haven't posted yet. I'm still very new at flyfishing, but I've been practicing religiously. Today I was fishing in our city's bulkhead and caught all these crappie! Learning to flyfish sure paid off; I was the only one catching. Even the guys with hooks, bobbers, and worms caught nothing.

I'm not sure what it is called; they are tied by the owner of the [url=http://www.salisburyflyshop.com:b58c1]Salisbury Fly Shop[/url:b58c1]. I'm still very new at this so I've got trouble naming them. I know its a gold bead-head with an olive body and a small green tail. I will take a pick or ask Mason what he calls it. I've caught at least 25 fish on it; it's a crappie slayer!

Welcome to the best flyfishing site on the net. Newbies have to make the coffee and chop the wood ya know? Just wipe your feet, come on in and after the coffee is made sit and chat awhile.

Welcome and nicely done. It's a great feeling to get the skunk off the rod.

Sure was great finally getting fish. I've really dove into flyfishing. Now I just need to go get some bass bugs!
