Survived the crossing and made it in exactly on time... Arrived at the dock at 9:45Am today and the boat was in the slings headed to the boatyard at 10:25. Weather had its way with us the entire trip and we lost at every turn. The searun cutthroat stream was frozen, or at least the bay leading to it, so we did not even attempt to flyfish. The wind and rain and snow made it tough to look for other stuff (black bears and deer) and the very short days, an extra day of being tied to the dock waiting to get out all conspired to turn the trip into a run.
Outside waters from Bainbridge Entrance to Resurrection Bay was nasty with 35mph easterlies and some big seas... Other than that run we had good running, just poor seeing. We only shot a couple seaducks and that had been our fallback plan.
While nothing turned out right, everything truly did and I will make the run many times again and only hope it goes as well. Nothing broke, no one got hurt, we ate too well, and the scenery did not suck... uhhhhh... when it was visible that is! Pictures soon.
