Thread: Last minute flight advice

  1. Default Last minute flight advice

Leaving for the Bahamas tomorrow. I plan on checking just about everything (which I did last year). Any recent flight stuff (within the last year) you feel like sharing is great. And yes, I know I have posted questions on this topic before. I just wanted to get the latest information.

I talked to Bonefish Joe Cleare, my guide, and he said, "OhManTheFishBeBitingSoGoodRightNow. YouAreComingAtThePerfectTime. WeGonnaHaveAGreatSetOfTidesForFishing!"

(anyone who has been to the Bahamas will understand the structure of my quote!

    Acuna,

Why don't you contact your airline carrier or look up the latest regulations? In all likelihood you'll get more up-dated and accurate information.

Run to your local bookstore and look for a book by Jimmy Buffet "A Salty Piece of Land" @2004 and then you'll be set for the flite. Ever think about leaving it all behind and going flyfishing?

If at all possible, WATCH them put your bags on board. We have had bags left behind.

4/22 we flew Twin Air out of Ft. Laud. We could park our SUV at no charge, bring lighters and carry rods and reels on the Plane. The rest of our luggage arrived 2 hrs later. Rods, reels and no flys , we spent the time at mohogany ridge getting the latest info and sucking up Kaliks.

When we flew back, we buzzed thru customs, it was a dream. Last trip we used another airlines went to main terminal and it was a horror show lots of lugging and lines of people.

    Twin Air gets my vote.

Excuse my spelling and grammar, I hooked Mondays and Fridays to either fish or hunt.

Put medicines, glasses and a spare set of clothes in a carryon and take it with you, just in case. I heard earlier this week that airlines lose over 1,000 bags a day.
