I've sent payment off to Jack today for the rod building tools. I should have them by the end of the week!

I'll have to look around and see if I have any old, messed up spinning rods that I can use for practice guides until I get good enough to feel confident enough to try it on a real blank.

I've found a few places that sell complete rod kits and found some places that have blanks for a cheap price. I'll start out on something inexpensive before I trying anything on a blank work decent money.

Well, the stuff from Jack got here last week. I've been working on the road so it was waiting for me at the shop when I got back.

I also have a rod kit and bought some glues and epoxies.

I still have a couple weeks of working on the road ahead of me so things are still sitting in boxes.
I am going to get a long table and some more lighting for a room in my basement. I'll move all of my fishing and tying stuff down there.
I'll post some pictures when I get things going.

Some really nice people here have offered to help me out when I hit a bump in the road.

I'm sure I'll have questions along the way!
