    This is an older tool called Rudy's hook sneller http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/knot-ty...624526217.aspx

    I've tried it with only using one hand and it works pretty well, any big worries about how to hold the line are helped by the front end of it that has 2 grooves to hold the line. Hope this helps!!!

    They still sell that tool and I purchased one to see if it could be adapted for the application. I got it the other day and it does indeed work however, the push button device it too stuff to work with one hand and still insert the hook. I'm hoping to have a solution sometime this week and I will share with the folks here on FAOL.
