After not tying for waaaaay to long, and wondering if I ever would again .... here's one of the DOZEN I tyed today, with materials I had at hand. (Darned if I was going to invest in new stuff, if I may not survive LA!!) Pretty exciting for me! No way would I have been able to vise-up that hook, or any size, before LA. Miracles do happen.

I call it my faux-tupps, and hope it proves to be indispensable!
tail is golden pheasant, body is sulfur yellow turkey biot, pink ostrich for the thorax, and light dun hen hackle, hook is a #16 TMC100

Trouts don't live in ugly places.

A friend is not who knows you the longest, but the one who came and never left your side.

Don't look back, we ain't goin' that way.

I don't know. I think it need serious testing on Dakota.Michigan, and Montana trout. Let me know when you are ready for the Michigan phase. I'll bring the landing net.

You know from Florida, they turn pink from eating shrimp.

Very nice fly Betty, the girl fish are going to love it. They are usually the large of that species I believe.
