Default How to catch an "URSUS" - not exactly fly fishing...

First you have to select an appetizing bait. Then you open the screen door to the screened in patio sunroom about 9:00 pm and let your wife's favorite Siamese cat out into the sunroom. In about 3 seconds she comes running into the rec room, tailed bushed out to about three times normal size, and meowing like crazy. Go to door and peer out but nothing seen. Think it might be a passing skunk or one of the gentleman feline callers spraying a hello on the screen door. Thought about turning on outside light but didn't do it. Retrieve memory card from trail camera on hill out back in the morning. Mystery solved!!!

We have a number of rental houses in our neighborhood and are in a college town. Every Fall the telephone poles get plastered with missing cat posters. I suspect they are never answered with a happy ending as we also have coyotes, foxes, bears and mountain lions cruising the neighborhood after dark. I suspect the predators look forward to each year's hatch of new students who own cats.
