    lastchance,

Dave Whitlock. in the Summer 2007 Issue of Flyfishing & Tying Journal pg. 24 -refers to Davy Wotton as "my wet-fly guru"...in a recent thread, on another forum I visit, one of the guys got to spend a day on the water with Davy...he stated that he learned more in that one day. fishing with Davy, than all he had learned in his previous year's of FF...just reporting...

I have that DVD, I've watched, I liked it and I found it useful to me. I recommend it.
It is not all inclusive. It teaches a specific method of fishing a cast of wet fles. It is an intro level DVD. On the strength of that video, I bought his DVD on tying wet flies.
I have been reading the book below from cover to cover, after skipping around it quite a bit.
http://www.amazon.com/Guide-North-Co...t+hackle+flies (It is temporarily out of stock at Amazon. Barnes and Noble might have it.)
I have read Mike Harding for a few years now and he not only knows his topic, he is an excellent writer. He is colorful and amusing without appearing "cute" or appearing to think himself clever. Early in the book he took on the topic of what North Country Wets are supposed to mimic. He said it is conjecture and that in his opinion a Jock Scot resembled a cross between a small torpedo and a psychedelic parrot.

I feel good about recommending the DVD you asked about and the book I mentioned is you are a looking to get into this style of fishing and tying.

    lastchance,

I have the DVD also. I think it is very useful and have learned a lot about wet fly presentation from it.

I would also recommend the book "Wet Flies: Tying and Fishing Soft-Hackles, Winged and Wingless Wets, and Fuzzy Nymphs" by Dave Hughes :
