    Default The Snake Charmer

Okay, guys. So, I referred to it in ye olde... well, newe... blogge postte. Has anyone tried the Snake Charmer? If so, what are your experiences?

Also, where does one get this rope that it is referring to? It is an intriguing fly, although I don't know if I would tie it so stinkin' big... 3/0? And with an 80 lb. mono weedguard? Would a bass even press that down enough for a set?

I think Home Depot or any of the box stores would have the poly rope.

Looks like a 44 magnum gurgler. But you chunk it out there where the big bass, pike, musky live and who knows what happens next! I might have to have a bigger stick to chunk it however, and I think chunk is probably the correct term.

I have caught quite a few bass on a 2/0 hook (boa yarn leeches) and I think a 3/0would work OK for the snake. However I don't know about the 80 lb mono.

You pitch something like that into some nasty junk where the bass are, and it will stay weed free, though. Gonna have to set the hook like you're sending him to the field behind you! That mono will get out of the way....
