Cancer.....
Our boy Gary went back to the doctors today to have the lump on his thyroid scanned. They are 99% certain that he has thyroid cancer. They will be doing a biopsy to confirm it in the near future and then decide how to treat it. It has been detected early so his chances for a cure should be very high however he has already survived one battle with cancer of a different type years ago.
Putting my own tests on hold and always my faith in God.

We cannot thank you all enough for your thoughts and prayers. It really means so much to Gary and to us too. We should be geting the ball rolling on this thing Monday. I promise you all that I will keep you updated as soon as we learn any information along the way. Here is an interesting page on thyroid cancer:

Gary showed no symptoms of the disease! He was having a routine MRI to look for a pinched nerve/damaged disc in his neck. Folks if you ever have any swelling or tenderness anywhere don't just pass it off as a cyst. It may well just be that but the only way to know for sure is to insist that the doctors remove it. By the way loss of hair, tiredness, difficulty swallowing....those are all signs of an enlarged thyroid that needs treated immediately!
