    Just got this baby out of storage today. Sort of the Mother of All Vises

    Interesting, but there is no way in heck I could tie on that thing.

    Note how terribly nice and tiny the midge jaws are on this one.

    I have the 'modern' or maybe the 'improved' version of that vise....

    That crank handle to activate the rotary feature is sweet, and one reason I had to have DynaKing 'make' my vise for me (at the time they just offered a simple bar, like on a C clamp). I couldn't tie without that feature now.

    The main 'improvement' is how you 'center' the vise jaws. The newer 'barraccuda' is much more streamlined there, with less bulk to get in the way. Even without mounting the 'midge' jaws installed I can easily tie down to size 22, which is as small as I can fish now....

    Last vise I'll have to buy.

    Buddy, I think my Sidewinder is more like the Ultimate Indexer??

    Yes the positioning of your hand an fingers is not the way I tie. I guess you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
