If no one has one that they are willing to part with, you might try contacting Regal at: http://regalvise.com/contact.html
They should be able to help you out. I have heard of a few Regal Vise users that remove the spring material clip and do not use it and maybe one of them will read your request and help you out.

Fly fishing and fly tying are two things that I do, and when I am doing them, they are the only 2 things I think about. They clear my mind.
Any Ace Hardware store will have a spring that will fit.
You may have to bring the vise so you can buy the correct size.
Should cost right around a buck or two.

It's just a plain old spring. Nothing special about it. There is no difference between the 'material spring' on your vises and the little springs they sell at Ace. Except, of course, the folks at the vise companies may actually hook the ends together for you.
Don't make this so hard.

If he's talking about the Regal one though, it attaches on end, stands upright, and is shaped a bit different.
Yes, that's the one I mean, not the one you can just wrap around the head. But I will try Ace.
