There are at least a couple species of native trout in Korea. I can't tell you anything about Korean guides or anything like that, but both of these sites have information on fly fishing in Korea.

    Alan:
They wouldn't let me go on the Singapore trip. Let me post on another site and see if I can find any info for you before you get to Singapore. A few months ago someone was posting regularly from Singapore with pictures of some very interesting looking fish caught on the fly. Might be able to give you a POC
I'll be in Japan the first week in May but its one of those get there on Monday and fly out on Friday trips, won't have a whole lot of time to fish, only salt water is available where I'll be.

You might find some info at these sites. Philly-----my mentor!!!

It is good to hear from you!! Anything you can find out would be great. I had a partner set up to fish with here in Korean (lady fly fisher). We somehow lost contact and when I regained her information it was too late. I have a guide that is willing to take me for $300 on Saturday. I was able to talked him down to $225. As you know that is a lot for my salary!! Also, I had a suit and shirt tailored while here in Korea and that set me back $350. That has wiped out the guide!!

Any thing you find on Singpore let me know!!!! Stay in touch !!

Here's another site for you to look at. This was the guy, Jimmy Awl, I was going to try and contact next time I got to Singapore. Let me know how you make out.

I was down the shore today, not far from where we fished. Actually wet a line, but I was just testing one of the big 10-12 inch flies I was tying up over the winter for a friend. It looked good.

We have two types of trout in South Korea, the Manchurian and the Masou or Cherry Trout. The best english speaking guide that I know of over here is James Card (http://jamescard.net/flyfishing/). Is that who you used?
