Default Scientific Anglers VPT fly line

Has anyone tried this line? SA touts it as being very versatile, capable of casting small dry flies and big streamers/nymphs equally well. The shape reminds me of the profile of the Triangle Taper, so it should roll cast very well.

Is the versatility just hype from the company, or is there something to this?

I assume that anything I read about any product is hype. Every fly line I have ever used could do those things.

There is always a lot of hype in marketting but SA is usually pretty straight in their fly line dept. complements of Bruce Richards. Bruce is not only a world expert on flylines, he is a great person. I have lost his email address but I am sure you can contact him through 3M. I will try to find some email exchanges on flylines I had with him maybe 5 years ago. Set me straight on a number of issues.
