    Hey Folks,

Thanks to all. I did in fact just get
back from an afternoon of fishing. Nothing
spectacular but much fun never the less. Of
particular interest was the water clarity.
Very rare to see the takes here on wet flies
but today was the exception. I was amazed
by how many nice bluegills would charge my
fly, take it in thier mouth, and spit it
without ever a twitch in my line. Ricks
leach pattern was the hot lick for the bass
today, as it accounted for all I brought
to hand. McSteff's spider pattern was very
effective. He added some very fine grey
fuzzy fur I sent him to the body and it
seemed to drive the bluegills nuts. The
red eared sunfish had a pronounced taste
for Leonards Roo scuds. It was a great
afternoon. My heartfelt thanks for your
    kind wishes. Warm regards, Jim

    Hey Jim,

Let's see, exceptionally clear water, sight fishing to bluegills, red eared sunfish and bass on other FAOL members fly patterns, and a big smile on your face.

WOW!!! I Can't think of a more special way to celebrate your birthday.

    Congratulations!

Happy birthday, Jim! Hope you get to celebrate it with ones you love.

I'd probably be your age, but my father was otherwise occupied in Germany at the time and didn't get leave while there.

Jim: We have never met in person, but I feel like I have known you for a long time. Very best wishes and good luck in your next 40 years, Jonezee

Excuse my spelling and grammar, I hooked Mondays and Fridays to either fish or hunt.
