Joe they sure will! Crappies feeding along the surface will also take wet/emerger flies. If you are going for crappie there is a fly that Al Campbell tied that is a must have in the fly box:

Vary the color on the crappie candy so you have some light, some medium and dark shades. I also vary the sizes from 8-14. This fly is deadly to anything that swims and eats minnows! It is a go to fly that occupies a top position in my fly box. I tied some with blood red marabou that the fish just crush.

The nearest good Crappie lake I can think of would be Moses Lake. Plus I have caught lots of Crappie in the potholes reservoir just south of town. Of course that was the olden days before fly fishing when I used live wasp maggots for bait.

I have to 2nd Nighthawk suggestion. The crappie candy fly is probably one of the most productive crappie flies I've used and it will bring in the smallies too. It's a easy tie and very productive. Never heard of this Baby Doll pattern before but may have to give it a try.
