I fly fish anywhere there are fish that can be legally reached, whether it is a stream, river, tail-race, lake, reservoir. stock pond, or the ocean.

    I am...therefore, I fish.....

    steck,
That rod would be the cat's meow. I even like the fenwick style grip. If it fishes as good as it looks, I can see why it's your go-to rod.
    Thanks for the pics.
Where you go is less important than how you take the steps.

Arrow One advantage of fishing moving water ...

... is that it is fishable on January 1 when most of the still water in this neck of the woods is stiff water ...

and ...... you can catch fishies ...

... without punching holes in the ice ... although you might have to punch ice out of the holes in the guides....

    The fish are always right.

Doesn't matter to me. All I need is a rod and water of any kind.
Good fishing technique trumps all.....wish I had it.

I fish mostly in the Adirondaks of NY where beautiful ponds abound and BIG Brookies rule. The moving water gets worked over pretty good and as far as being alone goes, forget it. I can do short or long hikes into ponds anywhere and have them all to myself. It helps having a Hornbeck 17lb Kevlar canoe but we used to do it with one man rubber rafts. All the same I love stillwater fishing!

I love fishing the small streams and rivers but once we reach the last weekend in June and Smallmouth seasons opens I switch between streams for Trout and our lake for Bass.
