This 2011 collage highlights my re-entry into flyfishing upon retirement in January.

The chap at top is my father, fishing for Browns in West Virginia a few years before he died in 1993. He was a wonderful father, a WWII Marine Corps vet of the battle for Guadalcanal, professional forester and a great outsdoorman.

His spirit animates the rest of those shown this year:

Right top is my son-in-law Aaron on Wilson Creek, NC; right bottom is my brother Tom in PA; bottom is our youngest son Jon on the South Platte, CO; bottom left is our oldest son Dave on the Farmington River, CT; and top left I am on the Big Thompson in the Rocky Mountain National Park, Moraine Meadow, CO.

It was a great year!

I sure hope you have framed that picture and have it hanging on your wall somewhere for all to see. It is beautiful and should be saved for all the family to see. Thanks for sharing....Welcome to FAOL and I will look forward to more of your posts...
