    Default Casting dvd

I am looking for a good casting DVD for those winter months. What is the best one out there?

As a beginner, "Joan Wulff's Dynamics of Fly Casting" helped me the most. A friend loaned me a Lefty Kreh (I think) video (don't remember the name) that was a little more advanced...and good.

Try Mel Krieger's "The Essence of Fly Casting". Highly recommended.

I'll second the Joan Wulff for beginners and intermediates.

I thought the Rio speycasting video hosted by Simon McGarthwaite (sp?) was really, really good. All the casts shown can be done one-handed.

Another vote in favor of Mel's video. Very straightforward, accessible, and surprisingly effective. His spey DVD is less useful, but the one-handed rod video is first rate.

I'm reluctant to say this, but I didn't find the Krieger DVD all that helpful.

Here are a couple of YouTubes samples of Mel Krieger's
    The Essence of Fly Casting

The DVD doesn't have the foreign subtitles.

...and I threw this in here because it's just good advise!
