Has anyone else tried the Fly Fisherman Magazine fly tying app? Found a great tip on how to tie an Adams. I wish more step by steps came with it. Opinions, comment?

I would except it is $4.99.
I can just look up photo steps in the browser and save the money. Looked kind of cool though. I did not see where it mentions that it has all of that data offline though. And it also states that for any additional patterns you have to pay $.99 per.
I wish them luck on the app...
The sport is so royal that there is neither gentle nor villein, if it knew of it and loved it well, who would not be more honoured for that reason by all who understand it.
To be young again and understand the fascination and addiction to all these gadgets,,,

Great, now I'll have two. The step by steps are with the application. Four or five are turned on when you install it. If you want to turn on the others you have to pay $0.99. It makes the whole thing about $40. I've paid more for pattern books, but I didn't enjoy it. The Fly Tyer app is free. $2.99 per issue or $19.99 per year. The Internet is no longer a free resource that's for sure.

I did get an app for my ipad/iphone which shows detailed maps of streams which show public access points. Very helpful when you go to an unfamiliar stream. You pay a fee for each river/stream. They don't have all of them, but the most popular ones.
Very helpful for trip planning.
Just an update on the Fly Tyer "application". It is actually a viewer and interactive copy of the Fly Tyer magazine issues. I have not had a chance to delve too deeply as, when subscribing, I must have messed up my password. Support e-mails say some one will contact me in the next two or three days! The password was entered only once without confirmation. (I hate entering my password twice when signing up for stuff, but this is why we have to do it...)
