Default Bird Feathers and Hunting Season

Just a reminder that bird seasons have or will soon start throughout the US. This is a prime time for tyers to stock up on feathers that non tyers would just discard.

Don't know how much luck I'll have this season or how much time i'll be putting in, but the early goose season in maine ends today and the north zone for ducks starts monday. Probably won't have anytime to duck hunt until the end of the week though.

Most I can do is wish everyone a great hunting season. Medical issues the last couple of years have prevented me from fishing and hunting and with surgery coming up hunting is out again this year.

Hope you guys have a great season.

Flushed three grouse today while walking into a site for work, saw one wood duck as well. We'll see what happens my first day out later this week.

Fatman- I wish you the best with your surgery and hope that you can eventually get back out to the woods and water.

    Thanks Zac

Been trying to stay away from all the boards, cause it grinds me I can't go but heck that dirty S word is coming soon and hopefully once I heal up, maybe try to start tying again. But I know one thing IT"S GONNA BE UGLY LOL cause the fingers aren't gonna want to work.

I've done some material swaps and have one left but hard to trade natural stuff when you can't get out to get it. Actually with all the flooding we suffered here some of the good partridge areas are nothing but fields of dried mud, and folks are cutting up the fallen tree's trying to get it half dried for winter as their wood piles went downstream in the flood.

Thanks again and you guys have a great season!!!!!!!!!!! Post up some pics when you get em!!!!!!!

    Fatman
