    Default Beaverkill River Roscoe, NY

Took a day trip up to the Beaverkill River for the second trip of the year. On the last hole of the day, I finally hooked up with a nice brown on a muddler minnow. First fish of the season.

Nice pull! I rarely use that fly? Is it fished like a streamer? How did he hit it - on the swing or do you dead float those things?

I imagine there is lots of water up there right now, eh?

Thanks JP. It hit on the swing. Got two other bumps both on the swing. I got the tip from the Beaverkill Angler fishing report up in Roscoe. Nice little shop right there in town. There is a lot of water right now but there are a few good spots. I got this guy in Junction pool just past the bridge over the Willowemoc. The water temps need to go up a little too.

I went up rt 17 Sat. & crossed the river. It was really high & muddy so I just kept going. Sound like I should have given it a try........

Labor Day weekend on the Beaverkill River in Roscoe, NY. Caught two browns and a rainbow. All on sulphur parachutes.
