Default Kelly's Cajun FW-M with painted eyes

This fly was inspired by the late Tom Nixon. So it is a tribute to him. I am a huge fan of his work. The tinsel chenille butt was a definite inspiration from his work . ( Also the cajun part of the name)This fly is similar of course to the Shaman Lance. But this fly will be tinkered with as far as duck wings go. Thus the FW-M Flatwing -Mallard. Each different wing will have a -P for Pintail, W for Wood duck, G for Gadwall etc... I tried the lemon wood duck, and it is fantastic for this pattern. It has the same body and everything Shaman Lance has, except it has the addition of the Silver Tinsel Chenille butt, and different wings. The Shaman Lance is a Teal winged fly. I have not made up my mind yet about the Tinsel Chenille butt. Some like it better, some don't.
