Thread: delaware fishing in July?

  1. Default delaware fishing in July?

    Hello folks,
I have to be in Delaware at the end of July and wondered if there is any good saltwater fly fishing there at that time of year?
Never been saltwater fly fishing before so any tips/guide names would be appreciated. Stripers seem interesting but would try for any fish available at that time.
    Thanks

    kbobb,

Where are you going to be and for how long? Delaware may not be a big state; but, it is very long!

There's lots of SW fishing; but, it's also peak beach time!

Rent a party boat and fish the bay you will find excellent striper and weakfish action. You can also fish and crab from the tidal salt marshes. I fish on the Jersey side so I can not recommend a marina in Delaware. BTW. only problem might be the greenheads so be prepared to be eaten alive... Goodluck... FB.
