Donald,
I love these flies. I was surprised about the difference in sizes of the March Browns between the Yakima River in eastern Washington and the Clark Fork River in western Montana. The Yakima March Browns are huge, they look like large sail boats drifting down the river, especially when they get in amoung a hatch of Blue Wing Olives. This spring when I was on the Clark Fork, the guide pointed out their March Browns and they were about 1/5 the size of the Yakimas bugs, almost the same size as the BWO's that were hatching. So, I am thinking I will tie some up in a size 12, maybe even a 10, for the Yak and size 16 for the Clark Fork.

Donald,
I love it! Excellent hook choice and the colors are spot on. That will get some fish interest for sure.

A great looking flie Donald
Donald,
How do you like those hooks? They look wicked and as far as I know are unavailable here in the States.
Tenkara Bum
I do rather like the look of them, but I have had intimations
that they are a bit fragile, nothing definite to go on, but I
have not been able to give them a real try out.
One thing though, I think, with a Tenkara rod, there would
be a lot less stress on the hook. They do look good, and a simple
curve is said to be very strong.
