    Default Deer Fly

    I forgot to post this fly on this message board, so here it is. There are over 75 species of deer flies in North America so chances are you have been bitten by something that looks like this .

    They are one of the most persistant little buggars around. They continue to fly around your head until one of two things happens

    1. They get their meal of blood so they're good until the next time you're around
    2. You finally squash the little pest - thankfully they're not that fast and you can usually get them - eventually.
