    Had one on one time while fishing a Jitterbug (before I became enlightened to flyfishing) while fishing in a tube. Fortunately, he got off. I was about ready to cut the line and get to shore. I think water snakes have the worst disposition of any snake species. Have had several turtles on as well but they are much easier to deal with.

    Well I guess I know what will join you in the front of the canoe if you don't land my gar next week......
