While we wait for sanity to prevail as REE says, you can sell all your saddles for hair salons then simply tie flies without hackle.

Franz Pott (1877-1956), a Montanan made woven flies that used the weaving material as wings.

Just a thought as you sell your saddle feathers for $2.50 each

ps: they want the really long feathers

Sounds like a plan. There's always deer and elk hair, CDC, Snowshoe Hare's foot, and foam too -- lots of options for no hackle dry flies.

I've got an old Metz grizzly saddle that I've never used; going to dye it with some pink Koolaide and sell it for plane fair to Montana this summer

Scott, one step ahead, did that already for my air fair and spending $$. Better get on the "gravy train" while the horse is in the stable!

Where did you post your saddles for sale? I've got a few sitting around I wouldn't mind selling.

Peddling the stuff on the streets like a fashion drug! LOL Just know some ladies and friends girlfriends or wives and asked them what they would be willing to pay!

I'm taking it a step farther - got both kids working their campuses and my wife has added it to her Mary Kay line. I'll be driving a pink Tacoma before the year's out.

When the feather hair issue first popped up on the board, I asked my 15 yr-old daughter about it. She was unaware of the trend.

Last week she reported the first of the girls in her school had gotten a feather weave (or whatever they call it).

I was hoping it would die before it came to Chicago.

I think I was one of the first to report about this trend?? But happily seeing it on a slight decline as of late!!!!

Kendra was wearing feathers in her hair on Dancing With The Stars last night. There may be a resurgance among the older crowd.
