Couple of kid's rods

I had a guy that wanted to get his son&daughter into fly fishing with him and he wanted to get them each a rod for Easter. So these are a pair of rods for a couple young anglers. Blanks are Batson 7'6" 3wt 2pc Forecast. Seats I normally don;t use a double lock on a 3wt but since these are for kids that are around 10 yrs old I figured the added security of the double lock nuts would come in handy if they bang the rod/reel around so I went with a couple HD Batson all aluminum seats. He wanted as much wrap color on the rods as I could do so I trimmed the rear 1/2" off the grips and left the hood exposed so I could do some wraps and add some color near the reel seats. Guides are all Batson SF and strippers. Wraps on Dark Blue (CP'ed) on the boys rod and Yellow on the girls rod. Both have 2 turn trim bands.

Steve, very nice work! I like your thoughts on reel seats and you explained why, makes very good sense to me. Those are very nice, functional rods and I think there are two very happy kids somewhere enjoying their very individual rods. Again, thanks and take care, John.
